BYZANCE

BYZANCE is the project of Mary Freiburghaus (piano, keys, voice, composition) and Benoît Gisler (guitar, effects, voice, composition). The two musicians started their collaboration during their studies at the Bern University of the Arts. They regularly met for "BYZANCE SESSIONS" where they composed musics for differents subjets and intruments.

After performing together with various bands, they started in 2015 to play in duo and to compose for themselves. The colors of the sounds of BYZANCE travel between the worlds of improvised music, jazz, noise music, pop and rock.
